This Teenie Weenie knife comes with an elk handle.  It is made from an 8" high carbon steel file.   Blade width is 3/4", Thickness .125.    From end of handle to tip of blade, this handy little knife is approximately 4 1/2 inches.

What is a caping knife?
The "cape" is the head and shoulder skin of the animal, which has to be removed intact for the kill to be trophy mounted.   When caping an animal, the skin around the shoulders, front legs, chest, and neck are carefully cut away from the flesh but not cut off. They are removed with the head for mounting. A caping knife has an upturned point, which helps you keep from perforating the hide while you cape the animal.
